To start Microsoft PowerPoint Click on the start button. From the list that appears hover over Microsoft Office. From the list that appears select PowerPoint.

When PowerPoint starts you will see the following.

The Microsoft Power Point window opens.  It creates a single title slide with no formatting.  The first step in the process of creating a slide presentation is to select or create a background format for your presentation.

Background formats in PowerPoint are called Themes (templates).

To select a Them for you presentation click on the Design tab.

In the center of the Design tab are the themes. On the right side of the themes area is a

up arrow

down arrow

and more

Using the up and down arrows you can scroll through the preloaded themes in PowerPoint.

To see what a theme looks like on a slide hover over it the slide will change to show you how it looks.

To see all of the themes at once click on more.
