You can create transitions between slides. To start the process click on the Transition tab.  The transitions bar will be displayed.

On the left side of the Transitions tab are the transitions. On the right side of the transitions area is a

up arrow

down arrow

and more

Once you have chosen a transition for a slide you can go on to the process of adding animation to the information contained on the slide.

A word of caution; be careful with using slide transitions, you can use them to a point where they detract from your presentation.
