My interests include traditional and digital painting, botanical art, nature
photography, and my studies of Native American culture and art.
I had my own graphic design business from 1980-1998. I began teaching
part-time at Elgin Community College in 1988 and at College of DuPage in
1989. From 1990-1998 I was full-time Senior Faculty at Illinois Institute of
Art/Ray College of Design teaching 30 different courses, multiple times, in
Visual Communications/Computer Art and Design. In 1998 I became a full-time
instructor (now tenured) at Elgin Community College.
Between 1991-1998 I worked on the design and production of varied publications, including Sarajevo: Anthology for Bosnian Relief, Bilingual Basics, A Few Local Tales (Pat Parks), The Eagle Book (Trygve Rovelstad), and Native American publications. From 1992-2005 I served as Art Advisor for the Spire.
