Word Lab

Microsoft Word

  • Open the document “Computer Literacy” found in the lab folder of my instructor folder.
  • Make the title “Why is Computer Literacy Important?” a size 18, bold and centered font.  Apply the same formatting to the other two headings by using the Format Painter.
  • Change the font for the first paragraph to Comic Sans MS.
  • Format the second paragraph into 2 columns of equal width.  Justify the text in the columns.
  • Change the text in the third paragraph to be double-spaced.
  • Add a clipart image relating to computers in the second paragraph
  • Center the image relating to computers behind the text.
  • Format the image as a washout (watermark).
  • Add your name and today’s date to the Center of the footer.
  • Preview the document.  If it doesn’t fit on one page, re-size the clip-art appropriately.  Print the document and put it in your portfolio.
