One sick day of the two in a semester may be used for personal or professional meeting leave. Report your planned day off to Vicki Bethke as soon as possible, then report your time off as a sick day. See below. For more informatio, see the ECCFA contract.

Reporting Sick Leave

We use eTime to report sick leave. You will either charge one (1) day or half (1/2) day. Charge one day if you are absent for a day for which you have teaching obligations. There are situations where you may charge a half (1/2) day rather than a whole day. If you meet part of your obligations on a teaching day (e.g. teach one class and miss another, or teach your class but miss your office hours, or you are present for your office hours, but miss your class), you may charge a half day.

In the event that you miss more days than eligible, report your unpaid leave to Vicki Bethke as eTime does not have a code for unpaid leave for adjunct faculty. Vicki will submit a form to adjust your pay.
